Ms A Rycraft

My thanks to Alice and Sharon for inviting me to judge the Household Pets, and to Sheila Webb, my steward, who handled the cats with care and expertise, and assisted me with patience. All the cats, winners on the day or not , were lovely; it was a privilege to meet them.

Class 292 AC Non-Pedigree Grand Master Cat (Imperial Class)

IGMC Mrs Kidd's GMC BILLY 10yrs. A large and lovely dark tabby, nicely marked. Confident and friendly.
ResIGMC Mrs Kidd's GMC DOMINO 2y 6m. Large lad with a beautiful dense black coat and a fine set of whiskers. A little nervy today, which just gave his stablemate the edge.

Class 305 Pedigree Master Cat (Grand Class)

GMC Mrs Pound's MC ERIC 7y 8m. Good-looking Siamese-type apricot point, nice colour and shape, in very good condition. Not absolutely sure he wanted to come out for us, but nevertheless worthy of his certificate.

Class 298a Non-Pedigree Open Class: SH Self with/without white, Male

BOB Master & Miss James' MC SPATS DOMINO 1y 9m. Handsome cat; plushy, dense, black coat with shining white areas (including his 'spats'). Distinctive whiskers - some curled back! Confident, relaxed, and well presented. He was later our choice for Non-Pedigree Best in Show.
Mrs Kidd's GMC DOMINO 2y 6m. This handsome black had settled since we had first looked at him, and handled well. A lovely cat, but, alas, again unfortunate to meet his competitor today.

Class 298b Non-Pedigree Open Class: SH Self with/without white, Female

BOB Mrs Kidd's IGMC DAISY 6yrs. Lovely black and white female with such a pretty face. Calm and friendly.

Class 300a Non-Pedigree Open Class: SH Ginger/Tortie with/without white, Male

BOB Mrs Kidd's IGMC GARFIELD 13y 6m Handsome, delicately marked, ginger with big soft paws, and quiet temperament. Very relaxed, he settled comfortably on our table and was a little reluctant to go back into his pen. Great cat.

Class 311 Pedigree HHP Open Class: SH Tabby with/without white

MC & BOB Mrs Page's MR BINX 4y 11m. Very good-looking seal tabby point, bright-eyed and interested in all the proceedings. Good temperament and well presented. He was later our choice for Pedigree Best in Show.
2 Mrs Castelli's STUART LITTLE 1y 2m. Striking blue tabby with bright white, quiet temperament, handled well and nicely presented. Lost today to the older cat, but his time will come.

Class 313 Pedigree HHP Open Class: SH AOC

MC & BOB Mrs Weatherill's SPYDERMONKEY 1y 7m. Very good-looking slim seal point with a beautiful silky coat. An elegant face with a neat white dot right on the centre of his nose! Nicely presented and handled well. Memorable.
2 Mrs Pounds' MC ERIC 7y 8m. Still as good-looking, but having got his GMC earlier, he now really seemed to want to rest in his pen.
